Who We Are
Scottsdale United Amateur Soccer League (SUASL) was established in 1993 and has since been affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation. We are a volunteer non-profit soccer league dedicated to organizing competitive and recreational soccer programs for the amateur teams and players in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area. We are one of the largest and most successful soccer adult amateur leagues in Arizona and have pioneered program standards that have raised the bar in the overall quality of the playing experience for thousands of players over the years.

Our Mission

History
SUASL was founded in 1992/1993 by a number of individuals who were team managers and Pedro Romeiro who also directed the program. SUASL’s success is due to the cooperative work of our volunteers and team managers who established our programs and created our rules. We lead the soccer community with innovative concepts to improve the soccer experience. We created the first men’s Premier division in the state, the first over 30s and over 40s men’s competitive divisions, we were the first league to established requirements and standards for discipline and accountability by having players and team managers to agree and honor a code of conduct within the spirit of competitive and recreational soccer programs for the amateur players.
Top Level Amateur Competition
SUASL endorses and sponsors a number of USASA and USSF National Competitions and our teams and players have entered and experienced success in the National Amateur Select Team, Open Cup, Amateur Cup, U23 amateur and over 30s Cup. Many of our top players played college soccer, MLS and other high level soccer programs. U17 and U18 youth teams play in our Premier and Division I as part of their high level preparation for state, regional and national cups. Premier teams from Cisco soccer club and Sereno soccer club play in the top divisions because it is the best competition and the best program available anywhere in the state.
